چکیده

Many species belonging to family Fabaceae are able establish symbiotic relationships with nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Studies developed Dalbergia ecastaphyllum (L.) Taub., for example, have demonstrated the potential of this species. In sense, study aimed analyze phenotypic characteristics rhizobia isolated from D. and identify whether these bacterial isolates capable establishing Vigna unguiculata Walp. seeds were sown in soil samples collected Japaratinga, Alagoas, Brazil, three zones located at different distances high tide line. At 60 days after emergence plants, nodulation roots was analyzed bacteria isolated. Subsequently, characterization carried out based on some criteria (growth time, type pH, colony color, mucus amount mucus). For test, V. used. total, 17 types identified, which 8 fast-growing 9 intermediate-growth. Regarding 7 phenotypes acidic neutral pH 2 alkaline pH. As coloring colonies, 5 yellow, white pink. It also observed presence consistent aqueous colonies areas. Only commercial inoculant efficient unguiculata.

Comparison of RAPD and ISSR markers for assessment of genetic diversity among endangered rare Dalbergia oliveri (Fabaceae) genotypes in Vietnam.

Dalbergia oliveri is a leguminous tree of the Fabaceae family. This species is popular and valuable in Vietnam and is currently listed on the Vietnam Red List and on the IUCN Red List as endangered. Two PCR techniques using RAPD and inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers were used to make a comparative analysis of genetic diversity in this species. Fifty-six polymorphic primers (29 R...

Ultrastructural Studies on Root Nodules of Pithecellobium dulce (Roxb.) Benth. (Fabaceae)

Ultrastructural studies were conducted on Pithecellobium dulce (Roxb) Benth. root nodules collected from trees growing under natural conditions. Rhizobial infection on root surface of P. dulce started with curling of root hair. Both curled and straight root hairs were observed. Th e internal structure of a mature nodule showed an epidermis, cortex, vascular region and a bacteriod region. Vascul...

Phenotypic and genotypic diversity of dominant lactic acid bacteria isolated from traditional yoghurts produced by tribes of Iran

Morphological, biochemical and molecular characteristics were studied to identify dominant lactic acid bacteria (LAB), isolated from traditional yoghurts produced by tribes of Iran. From 60 yoghurt samples, a total of 137 LAB isolates were determined, in which 66 and 71 were identified as lactic acid cocci and bacilli, respectively. Biochemical tests showed the occurrence of 9.76% mesophilic ho...
